Oracle 10g
The Oracle Database 10g was one of the first databases to be designed for grid computing, which has been proven to be the most cost-effective and dynamic way to manage enterprise information and systems. Grid computing cuts the costs of data management while providing the highest possible quality of service.

In addition to providing numerous quality and performance enhancements, 10g significantly reduced the costs of managing the IT environment, with a simplified install, greatly reduced configuration and management requirements, with automated performance diagnosis and SQL tuning.

10g provided a range of automated management capabilities to help improve and support DBA and developer productivity and efficiency. With Oracle 10G Release 2, Oracle's focus was to improve further efficiencies and reducing the cost of information management.
